Read the Report on Key Proposals to the Social Inclusion Forum (SIF) 2024 put forward by participants at Preparatory Workshops hosted by Community Work Ireland (CWI) and the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) Ireland.

EAPN Ireland and CWI collaborate annually to organise a series of workshops to support participation at the Social Inclusion Forum. Throughout April and May 2024, more than 100 people attended seven workshops and thematic roundtables, with participants from all over the country and a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.

This year, the workshops and roundtables focused on how best to tackle key issues and challenges – whether emerging, persistent and/or structural – in relation to the four themes of SIF 2024: Communities; Employment; Disabled People; and Core Essentials.

This video captures some of the solutions and proposals put forward by workshop participants with the aim of bringing about change for people and communities experiencing poverty and social exclusion.
