The EAPN Ireland Poverty Watch 2025: Eliminating Poverty-Can we afford not to?  examines the approach of successive Irish governments to the reduction of poverty, and furtherance of social inclusion, with particular attention to the current strategy ‘Roadmap for Social Inclusion 2020-2025’. It looks at life for people experiencing poverty and the devastating impact of exclusion on their households and wellbeing. And in the context of the ongoing development of a new successor to the present Roadmap, it looks at the steps that need to be taken to eliminate poverty in Ireland. Reduction alone, in one of the wealthiest countries in the world is not enough. Poverty can and must be eliminated.
